Jetwing Kurulubedda is located on a small inland waterway in a rural farming area and is accessed by a serene ten minute boat ride. The colonial town of Galle is ten minutes away from where you take the boat to Jetwing Kurulubedda and the journey from Colombo takes about three and a half hours with the airport being four hours away. The journey itself is an experience, passing the popular coastal resort towns and provides a glimpse of true Sri Lankan culture and its hospitable people. Arrival at Jetwing Kurulubedda is a bit of a surprise as the only indication of its existence is a wooden pier extending out onto the water. A boarded walkway leads through wetland foliage to the compound most of which is surrounded by working paddy fields.
